I am here, Christmas market :P

After terrible exam period, FINALLY I went to Birmingham Chistmas market.
There were many kinds of foods, little figures, and many other interesting thing.
I heard it was on the New street only, but now it is located until Broad street. It took so long time to look all around the market.
And the good thing was, most items are on 50% discount because that day was the last day of Market!
After end of the market, I regret a little bit that I didn't enjot the market during whole period. :(

Christmas parade in Birmingham!

Finanlly, Christmas is coming soon. (Actually, it is still more than one month left :(
Last week, there was parade for greeting Christmas and all the decorations are lighting.

Birmingham city centre is more beautiful now!!

Do you know there is postgraduate suite independently?

Actually I thought and expected that all master degree is performed at ABS centre and main building is for undergraduate studies. So it was disappointing thing a little bit.

Anyway, however, postgraduate suite located at main building can be accessed by only PG students.

Therefore, there is more silent than other place at main building.

Most of your master classes are performed in the classroom located at PG suite.
(except my classroom lol)
And most of classes is done with other master courses, so I can make more friend from other studies.


I hope I can study PhD here, and for that, first I have to do well in this exam!
During the undergraduate time, the exam is usually after Christmas and New year holiday so I have enough time to prepare exam, but now, the exam is the end of the semester.
It is so confusing, and other studensts as well.

The story is beginning with the PG suite and end with the exam schedule.. Anyway hope all studies are fine.!

Halloween! And library

The last day of Octover is Halloween!
So there is various parties on campus and outside. Last weekend there was Halloween Kream party and hmv and SU party on halloween day.
UNFORTUNATELY, I hd a class test and assignments so I couldn't take part in this years parties.
I hope I can enjoy next halloween :P
My course doesnt include many assignment. But dont worry. We have plenty of reading stuffs! It means I cannot enjoy(?) study life without library.
I will introduce library detail soon.

First week of term 1

It was kind of busy days.
Because of changing timetable I have to go classroom everyday. But other side, it is good for study life. I think most of module is not only for accounting course. I can find finance or international business students easily.
The only weakness is, I have only one classroom. I don't know how other course is doing, but at least we have only one classroom for basic classes. Since we have many students including various course, I feel we need bigger other room :P

Aston uses Blackboard system for learing materials.
Every week, or when the lecturers feel it is needed, they upload learning materials on Blackboard system and students can access to them immidietly. It is very helpful for communication between lecturers and students.

Yesterday, there was a career fair at Lakeside centre. It is really useful for graduates or placement students. Hope the fairs like this will be held on here frequently. It is first year and final year for me!

Welcome week

I just arrived here three days ago. My flight was arrived at the airport 10pm, so I worried if I can get in my room safely. But Aston aunties helped me and I am very appreciate to them.
Some people said immigration officers are very strict and it takes long time. However it was so simple, she just asked me few things; which university are you studying? what is your CAS number? Theses are all conversation between us.

This weekend, the weather is veryyy blessed. Ah, even it was a little bit rainy at night, it is okay. This sunny weather is unusual in UK, so I have to enjoy this day.

Yesterday, I went to welcome party at SU. Actually, it was held on Saturday as well, I was too tired to go there. But I fell regret to miss that.  I can make many new friends there. The most interesting thing was some students know Korean song, 'Gannam Style'. I heard it is very popular in the world but it is first time I really recognise.

Today, I have enrollment appointment. After that, I am really Aston student. I feel afraid a little bit about my coursework and also expected about my future.

Great news from Aston!

After I got an offer from Aston, I searched various kinds of scholarship of university. There was a scholarship which is perfect for me, Su Yeon Scholarship for South Korean students. Su Yeon graduated from ABS and now she is one of famous CEO and English lecturer in Korea, and she gives scholarship to Korean students who will study at Aston university.
To apply this, I have to write an essay and I completed it two month ago. I was not confident about that and there was no reply until end of August so I thought I didn't award it. However, today, I suddenly received an email that notice I award Su Yeon scholarship.
It is the greatest news among emails I received recently. There are no words to explain my feeling now. Even there are several duties for student but I am sure those are great experience for me.

It is just one week left to go Birmingham, I really expect what is waiting for me.
I can't wait!
